Article: Titles-Shmitles: Who needs titles?
As we all know, titles are in game achievements that your character(s) are able to wear as a symbol of your great gaming ability. Now, I know that many of you are sitting there saying “titles are a waste of time and they give characters no benefit so why bother going for them?” Well, actually, there are some titles that do benefit your characters and those titles are the ones that you just might want to find a way to max out first. Getting these titles may not be easy but in the end, it will be worth it for your characters.
Lucky Title:
Yes, I know that the Knights of Mysterania have the self-proclaimed Dye Queen and Kings but I don’t mean that kind of lucky. For each rank of the Lucky title track earned, the chance of a lockpick not being destroyed when opening a chest is increased by 2 percent from a base of 10 percent on a level 20 character. The Treasure Hunter title also contributes, at 3 percent per rank. The bonuses from both titles stack additively.
This is achievable by:
-winning tickets in “Nine Rings” or in “Rings of Fortune (both of these are holiday games).
-using a “four leaf clover” (A St. Patrick’s Day drop) and getting 15% death penalty removed
-Retaining a lockpick when opening a chest
Although this is worth it if you plan on doing lots of treasure hunting, you need to remember that this is beneficial if you plan to do this.
Wisdom Title Track:
If you find that you do lots of salvaging, then you may find that the Wisdom Title Track is something that you might want to achieve. The bonus to this is that from a base of 50%, your chances of keeping the salvageable item is increased by 3%. This allows you to keep the item and salvage more.
And how is this attainable? Easy. Find as many gold drops and weapons that you can possibly get and ID them ALL. Yes, this may mean lots of farming, looking for treasure, and opening chests but it might be worth your while.
Remember the more items that you can retain and salvage = the more money you can potentially make
Treasure Hunting Title Track:
Here’s a title track that I have found to be one of the biggest headaches to get in terms of gold spent however, can we say double whammy in terms of character bonuses? Allow me to explain: You not only get a 3% increase in your chances of retaining salvageable items but you also get a 3% increased chance in keeping a lockpick. So if you do a lot of salvaging, this might be a good idea to do.
To achieve this title, simply go out and open as many locked chests or high end chests (note: The keys would cost around 600 gold each) as possible. Granted, this is expensive since you will be spending, give or take, around 6000K on keys just for this title but it might be worth it. Keep in mind, the 6000K is not including any keys dropped by foes and this is also assuming that you’ve started with opening absolutely no high end chests
Sunspear Track Title:
Maxing this title out will help you in terms of your Sunspear skills. This title track will increase the power that you have with these skills.
To achieve this title, you must speak to the Wandering Priests at the resurrection shrines to get he blessing. However, you can only get up to 8000 points on this method. The rest must be achieved via quests and hard mode.
Lightbringer Track Title:
For each Rank of Lightbringer, you deal 5% more damage to and have +1 damage reduction against Abaddon and his demonic servants. Displaying this title confers its effects on your character and your Heroes. This does not mean Heroes can use or equip Lightbringer skills. The bonus effect is applied at the end of skill activation, so if you change your title during an activation, the resulting effect will be related to your new title status
To achieve this title, simply speak with any of the Whispers Informants at the resurrection shrines.
Asura, Deldrimor, Ebon Vanguard, Norn Track Titles:
Let’s face it, for Norn, we all know that with the introduction of Ursan Blessing, some groups won’t even look at you if you’re not maxed out with Norn points. However, each track title in this group have various skills associated with it and each gives you added benefits when you’re within the area. Norn gives you health, Asura gives you energy, etc. There are also other benefits such as new armor options, weapons, and sweets if you’re going for the sweet tooth title.
To gain reputation points in any of these areas:
Speak to the humans/Asura/Norn/Beacons near resurrection shrines. They will give you a blessing. After about 100 kills, speak to someone at another shrine and they will give you additional points. Please remember to speak to someone at another resurrection shrine before zoning.
Skill Hunter Title Track:
Although this will cost you approximately 290K, this is worth it. Although many say it’s not, versatility is your best bet when you’re working on your heroes. Each skill that you unlock is also unlocked for ALL of your account’s heroes. It also allows you to experiment with new ideas for builds for both you and your heroes. If you also plan on doing PvP, by unlocking all the elites, you also unlocked all the skills for your character.
As you can see, there are some titles worth getting. Try to max out these titles and if you need help, just let the guild know. Who knows, perhaps there will be someone else going for the same title.
